Here at Electric Skyline we recognize the one major advantage with the use of renewable energy is that as it is renewable it is therefore sustainable and so will never run out. We offer both solar and wind powered lighting systems. Renewable energy facilities generally require less maintenance than traditional generators. Their fuel being derived from natural and available resources reduces the costs of operation. Even more importantly, renewable energy produces little or no waste products such as carbon dioxide or other chemical pollutants, so has minimal impact on the environment. Renewable energy projects can also bring economic benefits to many regional areas, as most projects are located away from large urban Centre’s and suburbs of the capital cities. These economic benefits may be from the increased use of local services as well as tourism.

Solar energy, radiant light and heat from the sun has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies which can make considerable contributions to solving some of the most urgent energy problems the world now faces. Electric Skyline are aware that the world we live in is ever changing and that we have a responsibility to improve energy usage for our various lighting requirements. These sort of projects tend to be in remote areas where there is no electricity output in a place such as a pier. Electric Skyline have carried out a project for the national road authorities of Donegal which used a product from Cellux. This system is designed as an environmental sound and cost effective alternative to conventional outdoor lighting. The energy collected by a solar panel is stored in a maintenance free battery for later use and this has proved a very successful venture for Electric Skyline into the renewable energy industry on a larger scale.

Led Lighting And Environmental Aspects

LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, are a form of solid-state lighting that is extremely efficient and long-lasting. While incandescent and fluorescent lights consist of filaments in glass bulbs or bulbs that contain gases, LEDs consist of small capsules or lenses in which tiny chips are placed on heat-conducting material. The life of a high-power white LED is projected to be from 35,000 to 50,000 hours, compared to 750 to 2,000 hours for an incandescent bulb, 8,000 to 10,000 hours for a compact fluorescent and 20,000 to 30,000 hours for a linear fluorescent bulb. Conventional light bulbs waste most of their energy as heat. For example, an incandescent bulb gives off 90 percent of its energy as heat, while a compact fluorescent bulb wastes 80 percent as heat LED flood lights offer many benefits that are not going to be found with other lighting types. Cost, efficiency as well as a higher light beam are a few of the benefits of having LED lighting rather than other types of flood lights.LED flood lights are also easier on electricity so they are not going to cause a huge increase in the power bill when they are installed. In fact, they are actually going to use less electricity than other lighting types so this makes them even more cost effective.
