Job Description

Skilled Machine Operator to support our Civil Engineering Team on various civil engineering projects throughout Cork.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and upkeep of civil plant, machinery and equipment
  • Communicate and work effectively with the civil engineering team to deliver job requirements ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with agreed specifications, standards, health & safety plans and method statements.
  • Identify work improvement opportunities and solutions, reporting same to Project Manager

Essential experience necessary:

  • At least 5 years site experience
  • CSCS 360 mini digger card holder
  • Safe Pass
  • Manual Handling
  • LUGS Card Holder
  • Good communicator and team leader
  • Familiar with safe digging practices and other COP’s
  • Able to read and communicate As-Built service drawings
  • Competent in completing safety documentation
  • Experienced in excavations around live services
  • Experience in pipe/ducting installations
  • Experience in concrete/tarmac finishing experience
  • Full driving Licence – C or C1 licence

Desired experience which would be an advantage:

  • Plant Trailer Licence
  • Sign, Lighting and Guarding (SLG) Training
  • MEWP, Tower Scaffold, Abrasive Wheels Training
  • Previous electrical/utility contractor experience
  • Electrical awareness training
  • Awareness of working on public roads and traffic management requirements
