Project Quantity Surveyor – Munster Regional Office

 

  • Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

    • Job Type:          Permanent, full-time

    Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Head of Commercial & Estimating; the successful candidate will gain full training and excellent exposure across the entire spectrum of Electric Skylines Projects.

    The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and highly motivated with good communication skills and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The candidate must also be able to work to deadlines and possess a very high level of I.T. and reporting skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Compile estimations, bills of quantities and quotations for Projects
    • Obtaining quotations from Suppliers & Sub-contractors
    • Management & Tracking of quotations issued to Clients via our CRM System (full training provided)
    • Subcontract management including payment claim assessment
    • Compile Interim Progress Claim Valuations and Final Accounts to Clients
    • Compile & substantiate Variations and Extension of Time Claims to Clients
    • Cost reporting
    • Assistance with the compilation of Tender submissions for large Projects
    • Assistance with large Contract Management and Administration
    • Interact with the company team to maximise project & financial management, procurement, production and strategies

    The Person

    • Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
    • Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise several projects at the same time
    • Commercially & Contractually aware
    • An ability to achieve demanding targets and deadlines
    • Strong time management and reporting skills
    • Good IT skills with high competency in Microsoft Excel & Word
    • To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
    • To be good at working with people at all levels and working within a team environment
    • Very eager to learn and develop professionally
    • 2+ Years previous construction industry experience
    • Experience within the Civil Engineering and/or Utilities sector will be highly regarded
