The works were carried out by us, on behalf of Ward and Burke Construction, for Cork City Council and was funded by the National Transport Authority.

Electric Skyline was responsible for the installation of 115 New LED lights illuminating the newly opened walkway and LED handrail lighting at the new amenity area giving access to the Old Blackrock road.

We also installed new smart colour-changing LED lighting to the underpass, which adds an extra dimension and enhances the visual aesthetic.

The people of Cork, can now enjoy a better illuminated greenway, with new access points, newly planted trees, CCTV and environmentally conscious public lighting on this very popular amenity.

This historic route follows the 19th-century Cork, Blackrock, and Passage Railway line and efforts are being made to conserve Blackrock Railway Station and the many stone-cut bridges along the route.

The culvert as pictured above has been transformed by both Cork-based and international street artists and is beautifully illuminated by the colour-changing smart lighting installed by Electric Skyline.

Electric Skyline was delighted to be involved in the project and know that the Passage Railway Greenway will continue to be a source of pride to Cork City for many years to come.
