Moneygall walkway was the first project in Ireland where we used the Defender Solar lantern – A solar solution for Irish weather conditions.
The challenge here was to maximise the light available while ensuring zero running costs. The lights are sensor activated so will keep the path ahead lit rather than staying constantly lit, so the energy gathered during the day is enough to power them during the hours of darkness without the need for batteries or storage solutions. They are an attractive solution for non-critical applications.
