2019 was a winning year for Electric Skyline, once again receiving the Highly Commended Award for the fourth year in a row at the recent NISO/NISG All Ireland Occupational Safety Awards which took place in Galway (11th October 2019).
Laura Walsh the Health and Safety Manager for Electric Skyline said: “The Award is great recognition for our company and our people. Our submission was based on safety performance. We pride ourselves on our impeccable safety record in what is a high-risk environment. Health & safety is a priority from the top down. We go above and beyond what our clients expect when it comes to health & safety.
This award came on the back of a major jobs announcement for a growing Electric Skyline which is fantastic for the West of Ireland.
“In response to a continued expansion of our product offering and the recent awarding of major new projects, we have recruited over 20 new employees to join our existing team of 50, bringing the total number to 70 team members. The new positions are based in South Connacht and Munster, and include apprentices, electricians, project programmer & process manager and project managers,” says Operations Manager Brendan Reilly
Demand for a Electric Skyline services and products has increased significantly over the last 12 months and we are putting this down to organisations realising the benefits of the solutions we provide such as LED lighting. Switching to LED has a direct impact on their bottom line which makes the decision to upgrade to LED lighting solutions a logical decision.
Along with our core specialties of public lighting, sports lighting, commercial lighting, lighting design and domestic lighting, we have recently added Solar and Biomass to our services and product offerings, through the acquisition of PV Energy and BioEnergy Technology.
“These acquisitions have added greatly to our range of product and service offering, and fits well with our overall group mission and vision. Our business is energy – our passion is sustainable future.” says Bryan Fox, Commercial Director in Electric Skyline.

About the NISO / NISG All-Ireland Occupational Safety Awards
The Awards were established nationally in 1992 with just 20 entries and have since grown to become Ireland’s premier safety awards. They became an All-Ireland affair when the Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISG) joined forces with the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) in 1995. There is huge prestige attached to winning a NISO / NISG Award which demonstrate the positive and proactive culture of safety management that exists within a business.
